He talked about work-readiness and the success skills needed topursue career opportunities in STEM. “I then participated in mock interviews and received guidance on careers in engineering. It helped me become more confident with public speaking as well as become more aware of the key skills used during a job interview. The main thing I learned was how important is to use the right information to prove that you are a valuable asset for the organization. “Later, I visited different departments such as aerospace, security, production, human resources and corporate communications. I got an insight into the working life of professionals across multiple disciplines and I was very impressed with the people I met. “I am very passionate about astronomy and physics, and want to study astrophysics and space exploration. Having a mentor made me realize the importance of teamwork, communication skills and the impact of technology on our lives. “I am sure I'm not alone in my reaction to the Job Shadow Day. My classmate Nour Ahmed told me, the entire program was immensely beneficial in elevating the skills and knowledge I need for the future."
